What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is considered as the mother of all the healing treatments and occured before all chinese treatment methods. The oldest written documents are between 3500 and 5000 years old. "Ayu" (life) and "Veda" (knowledge) are 2 words out of the the indian classical language Sanskrit. The idea is "The wisdom of a long and healthy life" and is used as a form of health promotion for the regeneration of your inner balance. In the center of the Ayurveda concept are the three Doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ayurveda is teaching that all phenomena including our bodies are composed of the five elements Aether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. These elements are associated in the three fundamental forces of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Every person belongs to a specific type of Ayurveda. These types form the base of an individual appropriate lifestyle.
The goal of Ayurveda is to balance the three fundamental forces for a healthy and well-adjusted person.
